2/17/26 - Golf is Like a Box of Chocolates...You Never Know What You're Gonna Get! - Love was still in the air for our 2026 Kick- Off! Valentine's candy heart boxes were on full display, along will Hershey's Kisses on the tables and yummy Ferrero Rocher chocolates for dessert! Thanks to the Decorating Committee and all who contributed to our successful Kick-Off event. All 3 nines were in play today, congrats to the winners! The best score was on the front nine, -5, won by Kathy B., Adrienne DeM., and Barbara M. Our President Kim ran our brief meeting, reviewing the results of the LGA survey (more Match play please!) and introducing and thanking our numerous committees. We are all looking forward to a great season!
12/2/25 - Sleigh Your Game! - While we celebrate the holidays and this time of year, we also celebrate and recognize our wonderful Board members who make the LGA an organization that over 260 St. James women want to be a part of. Connie K., our 2025 President handed the gavel over to Susan L., our new 2026 Vice President and a round of applause was had for all the new 2026 Board members; Kim A., President (truly missed!); Ellen F., Treasurer; Sara H., Secretary and Connie K., Ex-Officio. And a special thanks to ALL the wonderful LGA Volunteers (over 25% of our membership) who make this great organization run so smoothly. Cole Grammen, our Tournament Coordinator was acknowledged and thanked for his hard work. A special thank you for those who brought toys for the Toys For Tots collection! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
11/11/25 - LGA Honors our Veterans - The morning temps were a balmy 35 degrees, and it warmed all the way up to 48! Thankfully, the sun made it bearable. Judy R. acknowledged Veterans Gina Richards-McC. and Deb S. who will be receiving a personal handmade Military quilt from St. James Quilters in a ceremony and reception on 11/21 at the H.W. Event Center. Congrats Gina and Deb, and thank you and all of our Veterans for your service!

11/4/25 - LGA Full Moon Gathering ~ it was a perfect night for a beach gathering! The temps were in the mid 60's with a slight breeze coming off of the ocean. A few cocktails were enjoyed, as well as a great sunset and the full moon! Thanks for organizing Connie and the Board!

LGA Pumpkin Par-Tee - Bewitched, Bothered and Bogeyed ~ Spirits were high on Tuesday afternoon when 100 ladies met for lunch, a short business meeting and of course, our annual Halloween costume contest! Thank you to all who participated in the contest, and congratulations to the winners! Best Group - "Let 'Em Roll"; Nora D., Barb R. and Marion C. Best Golf-Related - Ryder Cup Fan; Cate G. Funniest - Slow Play; Kathy B. and Most Original - Kentucky Fried Chicken; Gina Richards-McC. and Mary Richards-McC. Special thanks to the judges, Robert S., Paul S., Bobbi F., and Kim A. We appreciate our Decorating Committee that once again did a wonderful job creating a festive party atmosphere, and Whitney and her team in Food & Beverage worked very hard to keep us all fed and happy! The buffet lunch had some special treats such as warm apple cider, tomato basil soup, sautéed shrimp and warm apple crisp!

LGA Charity Tournament - Hope Harbor Home receives a check for $44,000! Our Charity Committee knocked one out of the park with this tremendous fund raiser! Kudos to Colleen J., (chair), Kathy C., Kathy B., Cheryl G., Mary Ann M., Maureen B., Nancy P., Jane P. and all of our wonderful volunteers who made this event a success. One hundred and 58 golfers from St. James joined us for a lovely, sunny & warm day of golf! Our fabulous decorating committee worked their usual "magic" for a festive setting. Winners of the Skills Challenge were Kathy B. for putting, Carol A. for chipping and Christine S. for closest to the pin. Tournament winners were 1st place Susan MD., Earlene C., Ellen A., & Diane A.; in 2nd place were Susan L., Susan F., Kim S. and Renee H. 3rd place went Debbie M., Joanie P., Lorraine S., Kathleen C. Congratulations ladies and THANK YOU all for helping us make this a success!

LGA SPRING FLING - Swing Towards the Shades of Green! We had almost a full field, and a new game to navigate! Hit the fairway, earn 5 points, then subtract your putts...but hit the rough or the woods, only score 2 points; OB or sand, 0 points and only getting on the green on Par 3's counted for 5 points. The winning team scored a whopping 160 points; Jungmi W., Joanie P., MaryAnn E. and Dawn W. Second place was won by Stacy P., Beth B., Adrienne D. and Darlene D. with 151 points, and third place was a close 148 points, Carol A., Anne Marie S., Marie D. and a blind draw. There were 4 CTP special prizes awarded to Donna G., Trish G., Diane T. & Maggie F. LGA paid out 10 places, congratulations to all the winners! Five lucky winners were drawn for Super Boomerang, each winning $23! The buffet lunch offered new menu selections, and all seemed to enjoy it. The Decorating Committee once again did not disappoint! THANKS to all the committees and Troon staff who made the event special!
